Zander has an interesting story to tell. Rescued by an organization in California, he was adopted to a woman living in Portland. He loved his person and her dog. But life changed when the woman’s daughter-in-law was tragically killed in a car accident, survived by her husband and 2-year old son living in Connecticut.
Zander’s person moved east to help raise her grandson, but the family’s allergies made it necessary to find Zander a new home. We were contacted by the original rescue in California and agreed to meet with the woman, who came to the sanctuary to ensure that Zander would be well cared for. Catnip is the secret to this handsome fellow’s heart and comedy ensues when he’s happily rolling around with a catnip toy.
