Moon

Moon is a senior gray gelding who used to be a lesson horse at a college in Massachusetts. He endured years of poorly fitting saddles and untrained riders under a grueling work schedule. His back finally became so injured that he could no longer perform his job, so the college dumped him at auction where he was almost purchased by a kill buyer for shipment to slaughter. Fortunately, a kind soul was at the auction and purchased Moon to prevent him from such a horrific fate. She brought Moon home and he quickly became best friends with Zoom. Moon is wary of people and very saddle shy. He arrived at The Lily Pond with Zoom in November 2020 and is happy to simply be allowed to graze on the green grass with his best pal Zoom.
