Merlin is our senior tuxedo cat who has gone deaf due to old age. He was rescued as a kitten from a bad situation and cared for by a local woman who kept a cat house for feral and stray cats in need. Merlin lived there happily for 18 years amongst his feline friends. But over time, the other kitties crossed the Rainbow Bridge one by one until finally Merlin was the only remaining cat. He was lonely all by himself, so his caregiver reached out to The Lily Pond to see if we could accept him in our cat house, since he is happiest living with other kitties.
We were happy to provide this sweet gentleman a home for his remaining years. He loves to be brushed and takes a keen interest when the treat jar comes out every night at bedtime.
