With an adorable pink nose, Keegan was a quiet fellow who had a run of bad luck. He found himself in a local shelter where was adopted by an older gentleman. Sadly, his owner passed away and he landed right back at the same shelter where he languished for over a year. We decided it was time for his luck to change and brought him home to the sanctuary in December 2017. He was a gentle soul who greeted us at the door every morning and loved to sit next to you for scratches under his chin.
Keegan was in his late teens when he was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, which causes the body to destroy its own red blood cells. The prognosis was not good and we had to rush him to a specialist for a blood transfusion. Sadly, he did not make it through and crossed the Rainbow Bridge in July 2020.
