Jeb dog The Lily Farm Animal Sanctuary

Jeb

Rainbow Bridge. Forever in our hearts.

Jeb arrived with Tig and Brodie in September 2018. A local family’s house had been struck by lightening and burned down. The family moved out during the repair but couldn’t take the dogs, so we agreed to give them a home. Jeb distinguished himself by being the loudest with a talent for knocking over the water bowl. He had a signature “woo-woo-wooo” sound that registered somewhere between a whine and a yodel. Jeb was a good boy and he loved to be told so. He would show his delight by turning in circles while singing his “woo-woo-wooo” song. He loved to play fetch, although he focused more on chasing the ball than retrieving it.

In May 2019, Jeb developed a tumor in his shoulder that turned out to be bone cancer. It spread with devastating speed and he passed peacefully in July of that year during the rising of Sirius, the Dog Star. We like to remember him as he was in his carefree days, dancing across the stars.
